I wanted to take a moment and update my review of Market Samurai. In my initial review I complained a little about how they no longer used Yahoo to collect back link data. Well, shortly after that post they added Yahoo back in as an option, and this option will remain in the program for as long as Yahoo provides the data. I am not sure how much longer Yahoo will provide the data, but it is a nice option for now. Market Samurai and Majestic SEO have added an additional option that I like a lot! Using Majestic to generate data you can now choose “historical” or “fresh” data. The new Fresh data option shows back links created in the last 30 days. This seems to be working well for all of my brand new sites. In fact I like the Majestic Fresh option better that Yahoo.

I am still not a huge fan of Majestic, but with this new “Fresh” data option I am slowly coming around.
If you are still on the fence about trying Market Samurai, you should just pull the trigger and give the free trial a try.
